Passport Photo Maker for Android
What is the passport photo maker in Offline Scan & Photo Toolkit?
The passport photo maker helps you take a compliant passport or ID photo at home: on-screen face guidance, on-device background removal, nine supported size presets with links to official sources, and print-sheet export.
What it is
The passport photo maker turns the front camera into a passport photo booth. Face guidance helps you center and size your face in the frame, background removal replaces the backdrop with plain white, and a small editor covers brightness and contrast. The finished photo exports at one of 9 supported photo presets — US Passport, US Visa, Canada Passport, UK Passport, Schengen Visa, EU/ICAO, China Visa, India Passport, and Australia Passport — or as a print sheet with multiple copies for printing.
No account is required. Your photo is processed on the device — it isn't uploaded for cloud processing and stays in the app's local storage until you choose to export or share it. Read how the app handles your photos.
How to create a passport photo
A passport photo moves through three screens — each step is processed on your device.
1. Capture — an on-screen oval guides your face into position before you tap Capture.
2. Edit — remove the background for a plain white backdrop, then adjust brightness and contrast.
3. Export — save the photo or export a print sheet.
- Open the passport photo maker and choose one of the 9 supported photo presets.
- Take a photo with the front camera while the on-screen face guide helps you align.
- Remove the background and adjust brightness and contrast.
- Export the photo, or lay out copies on a print sheet for printing.
Preset vs. government requirements
The presets below are supported photo presets in the app — convenience sizes, not official requirements. Choosing a preset does not mean a photo satisfies every requirement of the issuing authority. Requirements can change, so always verify current requirements with the relevant authority.
Supported photo presets
Nine preset sizes ship in the app, plus a custom size you define. Each preset below links the official government source for its photo requirements and shows when those requirements were last checked.
| Preset | Size | Official source | Last checked |

| US Visa | 2×2 in (51 × 51 mm) | U.S. Department of State | September 2026 |

Background removal
AvailableOne toggle in the editor removes the background and replaces it with plain white. The cut-out runs on the device with ML Kit selfie segmentation — the model is bundled with the app, so your photo isn't uploaded for cloud processing.
Print sheets
AvailablePrint-sheet export is available now. The app tiles multiple copies of your passport photo onto a single 4×6 in (4R) sheet, arranged to fit the preset you chose, and saves it as a JPG you can print at home or at a print shop. See how to make a passport photo at home.
