Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("the Terms") govern your use of the Offline Scan & Photo Toolkit Android app ("the App"). By installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App. For a plain-language summary of how the App handles your documents, see the privacy page.
The service
Offline Scan & Photo Toolkit is an Android app for scanning documents, creating and managing PDFs, and making passport photos. Core processing runs on your device, with no account required. The App is offered as a free tier supported by ads; a premium upgrade removes ads and unlocks premium features such as PDF merge, split, and page reorder.
Acceptable use
You may use the App for lawful personal or business document tasks. You agree not to:
- misuse, disrupt, or interfere with the operation of the App;
- copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the App or its bundled models, except as permitted by applicable law;
- use the App to create documents or photos that misrepresent identity, infringe others' rights, or violate applicable laws.
You are responsible for how you use the App and for the documents, photos, and PDFs you create and share with it.
Premium purchases
Premium is an optional in-app purchase processed by Google Play Billing. Payments, billing, and refunds are handled by Google and are governed by Google Play's Terms of Service and refund policies. We do not see or store your payment card details; purchase records are managed by your Google account. A premium purchase removes ads and unlocks premium features such as PDF merge, split, and page reorder.
Ads
The free tier displays ads served by Google AdMob. Google may collect and use device identifiers and ad-interaction data as described in Google's Privacy Policy. See the privacy policy for how ads relate to your data.
Passport photo presets
The App includes photo presets for common sizes such as US Passport (2×2 in) and EU/ICAO (35×45 mm). Presets are convenience presets, not official government requirements. Choosing a preset does not mean a photo satisfies every requirement of the issuing authority, and requirements can change. You are responsible for verifying current requirements with the relevant authority before using a photo.
Disclaimer of warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that its outputs will meet your needs.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or business, arising out of or related to your use of the App. Where applicable law limits this clause, our liability is limited to the maximum extent that law permits.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
