Offline Scan & Photo Toolkit

Private by design

Offline Scan & Photo Toolkit processes your documents and photos on your device. No account, no cloud image processing — here's what that means in practice.

How does Offline Scan & Photo Toolkit handle your documents?

Documents and photos you capture or import are processed on your device: corner detection, enhancement, background removal, and PDF creation run locally with models bundled in the app. The app's network communication is limited to two services — ads in the free tier (Google AdMob) and premium purchases (Google Play Billing).

On-device processing

Everything the app computes — corner detection, perspective correction, enhancement profiles, face guidance, background removal, and PDF creation — runs on your phone. The machine learning models are bundled with the app, so processing works without a connection and without sending images anywhere. Background removal is the same on-device step that powers the passport photo maker.

Your documents and photos aren't uploaded for cloud processing. They stay in the app's local storage until you choose to export or share them yourself.

What privacy looks like here

No account

There's no sign-up and no profile to manage. Your documents, photos, and history live in the app's local storage on your device — nothing is tied to an account you created.

No cloud image processing

Scanning, enhancement, background removal, and PDF creation all run on the device with models bundled in the app. Documents and photos aren't uploaded for cloud processing.

Sharing is your call

Exports are saved to your device, and sharing happens through the apps you choose, when you choose. The app doesn't send your files anywhere on its own.

Your files, stored locally

Local history

Every scan and photo lands in a browsable history you can search, filter, and mark as favorites — stored in the app's private storage on your device.

30-day recycle bin

Deleted items aren't gone right away: they sit in the trash for 30 days, where you can restore them or delete them permanently. After that, the app removes them.

Where your data can travel

Every document and photo takes one path: Camera → Your Android Device → On-Device Processing → Your File. There is no cloud step.

What the app does

The app's product-controlled network communication is limited to two services, both with Google: AdMob serves ads in the free tier and may use advertising identifiers; Google Play Billing processes premium purchases through your Google account. Your documents and photos are not part of either exchange — they aren't uploaded for cloud processing.

What Android does

Android device backup is an operating-system feature, controlled by your Google account settings. If backup is enabled, the app's local data may be included in your device's Android backup. You manage that in your device and Google account settings.
