Privacy Policy

Offline Scan & Photo Toolkit ("the App") is a document scanner, passport-photo maker, and PDF toolkit for Android. This policy explains how your information is handled when you use the App. Two layers shape that handling: what the App does with your data, and what Android does at the operating-system level. TL;DR
- Your photos and documents are processed on your device and aren't uploaded for cloud processing.
- The App has no accounts, no analytics, and no crash reporting.
- The App's product-controlled network communication is limited to two Google services — AdMob (ads) and Play Billing (purchases). Separately, Android device backup — an operating-system feature controlled by your Google account settings — may include app data.
Information we process
All image processing — document scanning, face detection, background removal, and PDF generation — runs locally on your device using on-device models bundled with the App. The App accesses:
- Camera — to scan documents and take passport-style photos. Captures are processed on-device and aren't uploaded for cloud processing.
- Photos you import — only the images you choose; they are copied into the App's private storage for processing.
What we don't do
- We do not upload, store, or transmit your photos, scans, or PDFs for cloud processing.
- We do not collect personal information such as your name, email address, or location.
- We do not require an account or sign-in.
- We do not use analytics, crash-reporting, or profiling services.
Third-party services
The App's product-controlled network communication involves two Google services. A third item — Android Backup — is operating-system behavior controlled by you, listed here because it can move app data.
- Google AdMob — the App displays ads served by Google's AdMob SDK. Google may collect and use device identifiers (such as the advertising ID), IP address, and ad-interaction data for advertising or marketing purposes, as described in Google's Privacy Policy. Your documents and photos are not sent to Google for advertising.
- Google Play Billing — in-app purchases are processed by Google Play. We do not see or store your payment card details; purchase records are managed by your Google account.
- Android Backup — if device backup is enabled, the App's local data may be included in your device's Android backup (for example, to Google Drive). This is an Android operating-system feature controlled by your Google account settings — not part of the App's processing.
Permissions
- Camera — to scan documents and take photos. Images are processed on-device only.
- Storage — on older Android versions, to read photos you choose to import.
- Internet — used for ads (AdMob) and premium purchases through Google Play Billing.
Data retention and deletion
- All data the App creates (documents, photos, PDFs) is stored in the App's private storage on your device.
- You can delete documents at any time from within the App. Deleted items move to a trash with a 30-day recycle bin, where they can be restored or deleted permanently.
- Uninstalling the App deletes its local data from your device. Backup copies made by Android are managed in your Google account settings, as described above.

Children's privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
